This eldbus module allows connection of
the AirLINE System as a slave to a CANopen
eldbus. The data is sent using PDOs and
SDOs. The eldbus module is capable of
supporting all bus modules and automatically
creates the local process image which may
include analog and digital modules.
The local process image is divided into two
data zones containing the data received and
the data to be sent. The process data can be
sent via the CANopen eldbus to a PLC, PC
or NC for further processing, and received
from the eld via CANopen.

The digital input module receives control
signals from digital eld devices (sensors,
etc.). Each input module has a noise-
rejection lter. This lter is available with
different time constants. An opto-coupler is
used for electrical insulation between the
bus and the eld side.
All digital input modules are independent of
the eldbus and automatically connected
to the next module when snapped onto the
DIN rail.

The connected load is switched via the
digital output from the control system.
All outputs are electronically short-circuit
protected. All digital output modules operate
with any of the eldbuses.
Power connections are made automatically
from module to module when snapped onto
the DIN rail.

The analog input module receives signals with
the standardized values of 0–0 V, 4–20 mA.
The 4–20 mA input module can also supply
the voltage for 2-wire transmitter. The input
signal is electrically insulated and will be
transmitted with a resolution of 2 bits.
The shield (screen) is directly connected to
the DIN rail.
RTD and TC inputs on request.

The analog output module creates a
standardized signal of 0–0 V, 4–20 mA.
The output signal is electrically insulated and
will be transmitted with a resolution of 2 bits.
Current analog output modules use power
derived from the eld side (loop powered),
Voltage analog output modules use the
internal system supply.
